Building the chassis.
By 8Customz
My D&L chassis experience.
I recently was shown the new D&L Chassis, quickly decided to try it
out.
I really liked the shape and design of the chassis.
When I received it, I carefully read the instructions, got everything
I needed
to complete build. I prepped the surface (as for instructions), used a
nice hot iron
and off I went. I used Hi-Temp silver solder and made sure to solder all
the way
to the end off side rails. They want you about burning the surface you
are working
on for a good reason. to get real good joints with this frame kit (D&L
L-1)
you must get it pretty hot.
Over all it it was a very good choice, I believe, no jig needed. Fits
a wide variety
of wheel bases. follow the instructions and you have a very solid frame.
Almost forgot, I did the tongue extenuations. I recommend securing all
the 3 front tabs
for better stability, here are some of the pictures after it's done, it's
a nostalgia F/C.
WOrking on the motor and windows will see in the gallery soon.
Thanks D&L
